Hi, I'm Runningflame, and this is my site. (Yeah, cheezy intro, but oh well.) The main reason for this site's existance is that I am a fan of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. I hesitate to say "a huge fan"--there are plenty of people out there who are way more fanatical than I am--but I do really like the Warriors books. If you have never read them, I strongly encourage it. I don't know a single person who has tried reading them and not liked them. Anyway, back to me. I own all twelve books of the first and second series, and re-read them from time to time. And I have opinions on practically everything that has to do with Warriors.
Of course, as with many things I do, the site has gone off on a wide variety of tangents that are not related to Warriors in the least.
For instance, I mess around with an animation program called Flash MX from time to time... the Spirals! page has one example of my work in that. If you click on the Pixie's Pics link, you will find a collection of photos of my cat, Pixie.
Since my exodus from Wands and Worlds, my site (particularly the guestbook and forums) has become somewhat of an exclave of W&W, with several members visiting regularly. So if you're not a W&W member, you may be somewhat intimidated by the number of people around here who mysteriously seem to know each other quite well. Don't be! We welcome newcomers, especially if you have interesting opinions to share.
Writing has become a favorite hobby of mine, especially in the last few years. For a sampling of my (generally rather short) writings on various topics, visit the writing page. Also, my (rather lengthy) Warriors fanfiction project, though on hiatus for the moment, is still available for you to read and comment upon. Click on the Alternate Destiny link on your navbar and check it out.
One of my latest ideas is the Book Exchange Club, which is simply a place for people to swap good books. It hasn't gotten many takers yet, unfortunately, so please check it out and consider becoming a part of it!
Finally, as I mentioned earlier, the forums are available for discussions on a wide range of topics (including but definitely not limited to Warriors). I do ask that you try to be polite and keep your language to a G-rated level there. But that's only common sense.

I live in the wonderful city of Omaha, Nebraska. I belong to a small-ish Protestant church, and if anybody wants to have a discussion about God, faith, church, religion, anything like that, I'd be happy to do that.
I have one cat, named Pixie because she was very small when we got her (though she has since grown quite a bit), and also because she was, and still is, rather mischievous. She likes to sleep in the sun, bark at birds, and rush around the house saying "rrrrrrr!" When she's sleepy, she will generally tolerate petting, and occasionally purr. When she's feisty, she will occasionally consent to chase a rope around, but she mostly likes milk-jug rings. She will also mug your leg occasionally, though she usually keeps her claws in. Usually.
What do I like? I like reading Warriors, of course, although re-reading Into the Wild for the twentieth time isn't quite as fun as it used to be...
I also like other fantasy/science fiction books like the Dragons in our Midst and Inheritance series; for a longer list, see my recommendations at the Book Exchange Club. I love watching and talking about Nebraska Cornhuskers football. (WOOO! HUSKERS!) I am also a former member at Wands and Worlds, the place to go if you want a fantasy/sci-fi community that discusses things and has author chats with Erin Hunter!
My favorite school-y things to do are math and computer stuff. And... yeah... that's about it, I guess.
